Assistant Professor of Accounting. Business - Accounting in Lincoln University, PA

Lincoln University offers an academic opportunity for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Accounting to teach accounting and relatedcourses at all levels (freshman, sophomore, junior and senior) in the Center during the [removed phone] academic year, beginning in the Spring2013. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Accounting and a CPA, or an ABD/Accounting and a CPA and MBA. Preferences will be givento entrepreneurially-oriented candidates with teaching and professional field/clinical experiences. Experience in accounting informationsystems is essential and knowledge of Enterprise Computing software applications would be helpful. The selected candidates must also beconversant with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) rules and their global application in business and industry.Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to mentor, advise and cohort a diverse student population; direct NABA, AICPA, PICPA and other studentrelated activities; develop strategic alliances with accounting firms and organizational enterprises in the public and private sectors;secure internship and cooperate education experiences for accounting students; prepare accounting students for the CPA examination; andassist in grant writing and fund raising to support the department's multitudinous project activities. While the teaching load will be atthe undergraduate level, it may include graduate courses. The candidate is expected to be a team player and proactive to the Center'sstrategic initiatives.
